O you who
believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (Hell) whose
fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and)
severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive
from Allaah, but do that which they are commanded. (Suratut-Tahrim 66:6)
Mothers,
fathers, teachers, and the society as a whole, will all be accountable
in front of Allaah about the tarbiyyah (education and upbringing) of
this generation. If its tarbiyah is good, then there will be happiness
- both in this world and the Hereafter. If it is not, then there will
be misery, and it will be a rope around your necks - since there occurs
in the hadeeth: "Each of you is a sheperd, and each of you will be
questioned about those who you are responsible for."
Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab (radiyallahu anhu), Allah's Messenger
(salahu aliehi wa salaam) taught him to say, "O Allah, make my inner
nature better than my outer, and make my outer nature good. O Allah, I
ask Thee to give me some of the abundance thou givest to men, in
family, property and children, which neither strays nor leads astray."
Hadith - Tirmidhi

A pivotal lecture for parents, youngster, teachers and students, over-viewing the purpose of creation and the path of true Islaam. A unique and important lecture given to an audience of young Muslims. Aboo Khadeejah 'Abdul-Waahid begins by explaining the blessing of Islaam upon the Muslim, the bounties of Allaah's mercy, and why we owe Allaah our thanks. Later, many examples are brought to exemplify the disaster of shirk and the punishment that awaits in the hereafter, as well as a brief description of the Paradise. We recommend this lecture to all parents and teachers, one of the few lectures that can be played to younger Muslims and understood well insha'Allaah.
The first advice from the book entitled ‘Naseehatee lin-Nisaa’ (My Advice to the Women), authored by Umm 'Abdillaah al-Waadi'iyyah, the daughter of the late Imaam of Yemen, al-‘Allaamah Muqbil Ibn Haadee al-Waadi’ee -rahimahullaah- .
